SZTE Biológia Doktori Iskola
A SZTE TTIK Biológia Doktori Iskola közel másfél évtizede a korábbi, sikeres doktori programok tevékenységét egységbe szervezve folytatja. A színvonalat a szegedi biológus képzés hagyományainak megőrzése, az SZTE és partnerei (MTA Szegedi Biológiai Központ, BayBio és a Gabonakutató Kft.) együttműködése, nemzetközileg elismert tanárok és kutatók részvétele, valamint az intézmények technikai háttere biztosítja.
A biológia felgyorsult fejlődése az elmúlt évtizedekben nagyszámú új, szemléletformáló eredményt hozott. Ez a fejlődés folytatódása várható a következő évtizedekben is, és a biológia egyes ágaiban ugrásszerű változásokra számíthatunk.
A szegedi Biológia Doktori Iskola lehetőséget nyújt hallgatói számára a korszerű biológia, elsősorban a molekuláris genetikára alapuló ismeretéinek befogadására, korszerű szemlélet kialakítására, és problémairányult hatékony, alkotó művelésére, alkalmazására. Az iskola törzstagjai, tanárai és témavezetői a modern biológia nemzetközileg elismert hazai vezető kutatói és egyetemi oktatói. A doktoranduszok szervezett képzése a nemzetközi színvonalnak megfelelő mélységű. Az eredményes kutatómunkához szükséges elmélyült, hatékony tevékenységet a hallgatók egyéni irányítása és a kutatóközösségekbe tartozása biztosítja. Fontos segítő tényező, hogy a hallgatók a képzésben résztvevő intézmények sokféle, korszerű infrastruktúráját használják. A több mint másfél évtizedes tapasztalatok azt mutatják, hogy a szegedi biológus PhD képzés hatékony, és hogy a kikerülő szakemberek sikerrel versenyeznek a nemzetközi mezőnyben.
Ph.D. School in Biology
The activity of the Ph.D. School in Biology is a continuation of the previous separate Ph.D. programs of biology. The high standard is ensured by the long-standing traditions, the cooperation between University of Szeged and their partners (Biological Research Centre of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, the BayBio Institute and the Cereal Research Institute), the active participation of recognized professors and researchers, as well as the availability of the contemporary research facilities.
The rapid development of biology in the last fifty years has opened many new horizons. This will continue in the upcoming decades as well, and we need to be prepared to witness dramatic changes in several disciplines in biology.
The Ph.D. School in Biology of University of Szeged provides opportunities for its students to study a wide range of problems of contemporary biology, to achieve up-to-date outlook, problem solving, and an effective, creative attitude in experimental work and applications. The teacher and the founder members of the school are internationally recognized experts of their research field. The organized training of the students meets international standards. The extensive research work, necessary for success is ensured by individual leadership in the competitive environment of a research team. The wide range of the available research equipment and facilities (confocal microscopy, DNA synthesis and sequencing facilities, mass spectrometry, etc.) of the cooperating institutions promotes the success of the students. The students with Ph.D. degree, gained in this school in the last decade were able to successfully compete at an international level.
